FAQ

Confidentality:

Part of the ethical responsibility of practising psychotherapists is to engage in on-going supervision with senior colleagues. This is done to ensure that clients are well served. Supervision does require that information from client sessions is discussed with a recognised psychotherapy supervisor. Client’s identity is kept confidential. With the exception of supervision all information disclosed is kept confidential except in unlikely circumstances whereby a client is at risk to themselves or another.

Session Times:

Sessions are weekly unless working towards an ending after a long term intervention. A session lasts 50 minutes.

Fees:

Individual Sessions:

The fee for a fifty-minute session is £45. Fees are reviewed annually and at least one month’s notice is given of any increase.

Group Psychotherapy:

The fee for a two-hour group session is £35. Fees are reviewed annually and at least one month’s notice is given of any increase.

Cancellation Policy :

Clients are asked to commit to a financial undertaking to pay for all booked sessions, whether or not they are attended.

Next Step :

If you believe you might benefit from counselling or psychotherapy, or would like to discuss the possibilities further, then please call to make an appointment for an initial consultation.

Initial Consultation:

In the initial consultation session, you will have an opportunity to discuss your difficulties further, and to ascertain whether counselling or psychotherapy might be appropriate. If it is mutually agreed to be appropriate then arrangements will be made to work together.
